Forestry Proud Day 2019 – Campbell River
On Monday, April 29th, Forestry Friendly Communities (FFC) hosted the second annual Forestry Proud Day at Spirit Square in Campbell River, BC.
Over a 150 people who work in forestry, logging, and other businesses that support the sector showed up to show their pride in forestry.
The event included a presentation, BBQ, toque sales, and lots of other fun activities. The presentation was led by FFC Ambassador and long-time resident of Campbell River, Steven Lackey. The Mayor of Campbell River, Andy Adams, spoke at the event as did last year’s FFC scholarship recipients, Jackson Locker and Makayla Berger.
